Част от прочетените книги

От първостепенна важност е човек да подбира източниците си. Никой от нас не се е родил научен и придобитата информация е ключова за оформяне на нашите знания, вярвания и лично мнение. В този ред на мисли форумите почти винаги са лоша идея. Проблемът е, че „информацията“ от онлайн форумите е изключително лесно достъпна, но силно неточна. Само по няколко ключови думи човек попада на множество мнения, които на пръв поглед са по темата, но при внимателно вглеждане, става ясно, че пишат хора, които често нямат достатъчна теоретична и практическа подготовка и не са достатъчно зрели, за да дадат обосновано и обективно мнение, което не е силно пречупено през личния им (често негативен) опит. Разбира се, съществуват и такива хора, но те са много малко.

Лично според мен, обаче, основният проблем при четенето на форуми е следният: мнението и личният опит на един единствен човек стига до всички. Хората имат тенденция да вярват прекалено много на това, което четат и да не го подлагат на критичен анализ. Съответно един човек, който е имал даден проблем с колата си или нежелан ефект от дадено лекарство или лош опит с конкретен психотерапевтичен подход, споделя своето преживяване. Това, което следва, е хиляди други хора, които прочитат това и моментално правят заключението, че всяка кола ще има този проблем, че всеки, взимащ това лекарство ще има този страничен ефект и че този конкретен психотерапевтичен подход не работи. Имаме на лице когнитивното изкривяване „генерализация“.

За да избегна подобен вид проблеми, аз обичам да чета книги, доказали се във времето и разглеждащи даден въпрос от една по-широка гледна точка. Тази на автор с нужното образование, наблюдения, опит и възможност да се съпоставят и сравнят различни вярвания, хипотези и разбирания. Само след няколко книги, задълбочено разглеждащи дадена сфера от живота, човек може да започне да придобива един по-широк, дълбок и обективен поглед над нещата.

През годините изчетох много литература на тема тревожни разстройства и депресия. Наблегнах на две направления – психотерапия и медикаменти/психиатрия. Тук ще споделя част от книгите, които ми направиха най-силно впечатление и смятам за ключови в разбирането и преодоляването на тези състояния. Всяка една от изредените книги съм си купил и прочел. Когато имам време, ще пиша статии, базиращи се върху тях и ще предавам основното от наученото на разбираем и достъпен език.
